二 | “龙”指的是二十八宿中的东方苍龙七宿星象，每岁仲春卯月(斗指正东)之初“龙角星”就从东方地平线上升起，故称“龙抬头。节日来历二月二既是龙抬头节也是土地公的诞辰，“土地诞”也称“社日节”。社日分为春社日和秋社日，古时春社是立春后第五个戊日，秋社是立秋后第五个戊日（戊，五行属土）。古人认为土生万物，土地神是广为敬奉的神灵之一。

三 | 人们认为土地公管理着五谷的生长和地方的平安，很多地方的百姓都在社日奉祀土地神。土地公又称福德正神，在中国南方地区，为给土地公公“暖寿”，有的地方有举办“土地会”的习俗：家家凑钱为土地神祝贺生日，到土地庙烧香祭祀，敲锣鼓，放鞭炮。唐德宗在位之时，李泌上书，要求废除正月晦，以二月一日为中和节，以向天下人表示务本之意。德宗皇帝采纳了李泌的意见。

四 | 汪启淑在《水曹清暇录》一书中说：“二月初一，俗称中和节，起于唐李泌，市中货太阳糕，以祀太阳星君。”后来人们又将土地神的生日（社日）与这一节日合并，日子又改在二月二日。同时，从唐德宗时起，中和节又吸收了春分的活动内容，因此，这一节日活动内容也就丰富了二月二习俗吃龙食传统上，人们会吃一些与龙相关的食物，如龙须糖、龙鳞饼等，以表达对丰收的期盼。剃龙头在许多地方，人们会选择在这一天剃头，以示辞旧迎新，寓意着新的一年里能够顺利如意。引龙田在一些地方，特别是在农历二月二“龙抬头”这一天，引田龙的形象会被用来祈求风调雨顺和五谷丰登。二月二诗词《二月二日》 [唐]白居易二月二日新雨晴，草芽菜甲一时生。轻衫细马春年少，十字津头一字行。
